Introducing Bertrand Schmitt, Senior Advisor

Today we are excited to welcome Bertrand Schmitt, Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Strategist of App Annie, the leading global provider of Mobile App analytics and market data. Bertrand is joining the team as Senior Advisor, helping us track new consumer and digital trends and identify promising investment opportunities.

Bertrand started App Annie in Beijing in 2010 and has since then grown it into a truly global company headquartered in San Francisco, with over 350 employees across 11 offices worldwide. App Annie is used by industry leaders all over the world. As mobile has become the primary channel to acquire and engage consumers, demand for App Annie data and analytics has propelled the company’s ARR past $100 million.

Previously, he was VP Mobile for Gomez, a web analytics company acquired by Compuware in 2009 for $295M, and COO and VP of Marketing at mobile analytics company Zandan, acquired by Keynote Systems. Bertrand also held management and founder roles at Neocom Multimedia and Arkadia Netsystems. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a Masters in Computer Science from Institut Superieur d’Electronique (ISEP) in France. Outside of running tech companies, Bertrand can usually be found playing with the latest gadgets and reading on his tablet.
